A touch table experience for the lobby of the SCAD Museum of Art.
In 2011, the SCAD Museum of Art was transformed from a National Historic Landmark into an award-winning, modern museum building. To showcase the museum and its collections, we worked with Pentagram to create an interactive touch table experience for visitors.
We developed the touch table application using the creative coding C++ library Cinder. The 12-foot screen is permanently installed in the main lobby of the museum and displays interactive cards showing current museum exhibits, events and other information relating to the Savannah College of Arts and Design. TBL is designed to encourage interaction between visitors - users can slide, stack and share the cards at the table.
